Stewardship

Stewardship is returning a portion of our gifts to God. The gifts we return are our time, our talent and our treasure. 

God calls us to be generous with all of our gifts, including our treasure.  Our faith teaches us this through the Scriptures:

“Honor the Lord with your wealth, with first fruits …” (Proverbs 3:9)

“How shall I make a return to the Lord for all the good He has done for me?” (Psalm 116:12)

St. Mary Magdalen Church depends on the generosity of registered parishioners and guests to fulfill the mission to be the presence of Christ to all we meet.

Jesus commands us to care for the sick, cloth the naked, feed the hungry, give shelter to the homeless, visit the prisoner, tend to the needs of the widow and orphan.

St. Vincent dePaul Society is a group of dedication parishioners who tend to all these needs in the name of our parish community, supported through the generosity of parishioners via the poor boxes & the money collected from the children’s envelopes.
