Walk To Easter 2025 The Walk to Easter program traces the steps of Jesus during Holy Week, from Palm Sunday to Easter. This year it will be held on April 18th from 8:45am - 12 pm. Children ages 4-11 will experience the mysteries of our faith through storytelling, music, and art. We need volunteers help to run this program. To register & learn more please click here.
Reconciliation Monday Prepare your heart for Easter. Join us for confession on Monday, April 14th. Confessions will be heard from 3-8pm throughout the Diocese at all churches.
Palm Sunday Coffee & DonutsPlease join us on Sunday, April 13th at the 8:30am Mass to celebrate Palm Sunday. Coffee & Donuts will be served after Mass in the church hall. Please sign up here to volunteer.
Palm Sunday Procession Children attending mass on Sunday, April 13th are invited to be part of the Palm Sunday Procession with Father Kirk. Children will enter the procession, behind the Cross bearer, and walk forward bearing Palms. Father Kirk will perform the opening to Mass, bless the palms and provide the opening prayer. After the prayer, children will then follow the leader carrying the Lectionary towards the back of the church, as usual. Parents are welcome to process with their children if they might need encouragement. If joining the procession, please meet in the vestibule around 8:20am.

EasterFlower Donations All EasterFlower Offerings, in memory of individuals, must be received by Sunday, April 6th, via offertory envelopes or online donation to be posted in the Easter Bulletin. Any received after that date will be printed on an updated list.
Marian Stations We will hold Marian Stations Friday, April 4th at 6pm. These stations, sometimes called Mary’s Way of the Cross, attempt to present that viewpoint. In these stations, we see through Mary’s eyes what Jesus was going through on the way of Calvary.
Baccalaureate Mass Join us on Saturday, April 12 at the 4:30pm Mass to celebrate a Baccalaureate Mass for the SMM Parish Graduating Class of 2021 as they graduate high school. If you are an SMM Parish Alumni of the Class of 2021 and plan on attending the SMM Baccalaureate Mass, please RSVP by April 6, 2025.
Easter Egg Hunt Donations Help us to prepare for our annual Easter Egg Hunt. Please sign-up to purchase and stuff eggs. Stuffed eggs can be dropped off at church, the parish office, school or during Prep by April 15th. Students can also receive service credits for this activity!
From Darkness to Light The Mastersingers of Archmere Academy will be performing a Lenten concert on Sunday, March 23, 2025 at 6pm in the church. The program explores a journey through reflection, remembrance, prayer, and ultimately, the triumph of light and joy. The progression takes you from moments of solemnity and introspection, through healing and prayer, to a powerful, celebratory conclusion.
SMM Ladies' Night presents Marks of the Passion: The Stigmata of St. Francis of Assisi on Monday, March 24 at 6:30pm in the SMM Church Hall. Anyone is welcome to attend! SMM Parishioner, Justin Carisio, OFS, will walk us through the miracle of the stigmata and the examples St. Francis of Assisi left for us 800 years ago that help us live a life today that's pleasing to God. Baby Blessing Mass 2025 St. Mary Magdalen School will have a Baby Blessing Mass on Friday, February 21st at 10am. Priest Study Week There will be no daily Masses from Monday, February 3rd through Friday, February 7th because of the annual priest retreat. Feast of St. Blaise Monday, February 3rd is the Feast of St. Blaise, the patron saint of throat illnesses. We will offer the Blessing of Throats at the Masses on the weekend of February 1st & 2nd.
Annual Wedding Anniversary Mass Bishop William E. Koenig invites all couples celebrating their 5th, 10th, 15th, 20th, 30th, 40th, 45th, 50th wedding anniversary or any anniversary beyond 50th to the annual Wedding Anniversary Mass being held on World Marriage Sunday, February 9, 2025 at 1pm at St. Margaret of Scotland Church in Newark, DE. Tax Donation Letters The 2024 tax donation letters were sent via email on Friday, January 17th to all parishioners that have previously requested for annual statements to be sent each year. If you didn't receive a letter last year and would like a 2024 tax donation letter sent via email, please contact Kylie Lavelle or call the parish office 302-652-6800 to request to have a tax donation letter automatically emailed each year. We can also send a tax letter in the mail if needed.

Epiphany Blessing KitsEpiphany blessing kits will be available at all weekend Masses on January 4th & 5th in all the entrances. They will include a home prayer, blessed hay, and chalk to mark your home.

Peace Light North AmericaThe Peace Light is a continuous flame originating in the grotto of Jesus' birth in Bethlehem. It is shared person to person throughout the world with a message of peace and friendship. Peace Light North America is dedicated to facilitating the distribution of the Peace Light from Bethlehem throughout the North American continent. St. Mary Magdalen is proud to host the Peace Light, it will be on display in the church throughout the Christmas Season. Parishioners are invited to light a candle from the flame and bring it home.
