Emmanuel Dining Room | The Emmanuel Dining Room committee provides food for Emmanuel East on the 27th of each month for 180-250 people, except for weekends. Contact: Laury Kusner We also have a ministry that delivers to the Emanuel Dining Room on Rogers Road, ever 3rd Tuesday of the month. We have a signup genius for preparing pans of hot dogs and beans at home. Everyone brings the prepared pans to the church hall & then Patti Small delivers them around 9:30AM. |
Fall Food Drive | Our annual Fall Food Drive for local food closets is held every September and we will have bags available at all exits. If you are able to help, please take a bag and fill it with non-perishable food items, then return it the following weekend. We will have people available 15 minutes before each of the Masses that weekend to collect your bags and place them in the truck on site. We normally need help on the Monday we distribute the food to the Food Closets. If you would like to volunteer a few hours, or you need service hours and would like to help us pass out bags or load the truck, please contact Beth Smith. |
Meals on Wheels | A dedicated group of parishioners who pick-up and deliver a lunchtime hot meal to the homebound in our geographical area on a week-day. Time needed is about one and one-half hours. To volunteer for Meals on Wheels - contact Joanne Hadley at 302-478-2092. |
Nursing Home Visitation | Extraordinary Ministers takes communion, hold a short prayer service including readings, and homily for residents. Volunteers visit for a brief time with the residents. |

Birthrite of Delaware - Baby Bottles In October, Birthright of DE makes available baby bottles after Masses. This is an opportunity for our church families to have hands-on involvement in a project that saves the lives of unborn children and makes a lasting difference in the mothers’ lives. We ask that you take the bottles home (one per family), fill them with coins, cash or check and return them to church weekend of Nov. 7th or earlier if possible. |
