Emmanuel Dining Room |
The Emmanuel Dining Room committee cooks and serves lunch for Emmanuel East on the 27th of each month for 180-250 people. We cook the food in the church kitchen and then take the meals to the Emmanuel dining room and serve. We also have a ministry that delivers to the Emanuel Dining Room on Rogers Road, ever 3rd Tuesday of the month. We have a signup genius for preparing pans of hot dogs and beans at home. Everyone brings the prepared pans to the church hall & then Patti Small delivers them around 9:30AM. |
Fall Food Drive |
Our annual Fall Food Drive for local food closets is held every September and we will have bags available at all exits. If you are able to help, please take a bag and fill it with non-perishable food items, then return it the following weekend. We will have people available 15 minutes before each of the Masses that weekend to collect your bags and place them in the truck on site. We normally need help on the Monday we distribute the food to the Food Closets. If you would like to volunteer a few hours, or you need service hours and would like to help us pass out bags or load the truck, please contact Beth Smith. |

Respect Life |
Birthright of Delaware - Annual Rose Sale Please support Birthright’s pregnancy services by purchasing roses after all Masses on Mother’s Day weekend. Your help will truly make a difference! Birthrite of Delaware - Baby Bottles In October, Birthright of DE makes available baby bottles after Masses. This is an opportunity for our church families to have hands-on involvement in a project that saves the lives of unborn children and makes a lasting difference in the mothers’ lives. We ask that you take the bottles home (one per family), fill them with coins, cash or check and return them to church weekend of Nov. 7th or earlier if possible. |
St. Vincent dePaul Society![]() |
Jesus commands us to care for the sick, cloth the naked, feed the hungry, give shelter to the homeless, visit the prisoner, tend to the needs of the widow and orphan. The St. Vincent dePaul Society is a group of dedication parishioners who tend to all these needs in the name of our parish community, supported through the generosity of parishioners via the poor boxes & the money collected from the children’s envelopes. They meet every other Tuesday night in the church hall (see bulletin for details.) No need to RSVP, all are welcome! Volunteers Needed. The Society of SVdP offers tangible assistance to those in need on a person-to-person basis. It is this personalized involvement that makes the work of the Society unique. If you are interested in volunteering, contact the parish office. We receive many calls for assistance & are always in need of donations. If you would like to contribute, donations can be made directly to the St. Vincent de Paul Society via our parish office or the Poor Boxes at the Church exits. Also, all money contributed through the children’s envelopes also goes straight to St. Vincent de Paul society. Thank you for your generosity! |
