Congratulations on your engagement!  

To begin the process of scheduling your Sacrament of Marriage with St. Mary Magdalen, please complete the Marriage Registration form. The marriage coordinator will contact you with the next steps and to schedule your initial meeting with your potential celebrant.  It is best to do this prior to picking a date for your wedding and at least 6 months in advance. 

Please note that the wedding date requested can not be confirmed until you meet with your Priest/Deacon Celebrant and the deposit has been received.  Please see our Wedding Guide for a list of fees.  

Please follow the steps below to complete the marriage preparation process:

1. Meet with your parish priest/deacon to establish a date, eligibility to marry within the Catholic Church and develop a plan for the rest of your marriage preparation process.
2. Complete the marriage inventory.  This step can usually be completed at your initial meeting. 
3. Attend the Diocesan Pre-Cana program which covers various topics in sustaining a happy and healthy marriage.  Pre-cana classes are online.  You can choose to take your classes through the diocese.  You can register for these classes on the diocesean website.  You also have the option to take your classes through The Marriage Group.  You will need to present your certificate to the parish office 2 weeks prior to your wedding date.
4. Meet with a married couple from your home parish.  
5. The Church invites all Catholics to prepare themselves spiritually prior to receiving the Sacrament of Matrimony and attend the Sacrament of Reconciliation.  
6. Final meeting with a celebrant who will be witnessing your sacrament to ensure all details are in order.
