Who can be a sponsor?  Review our When Choosing a Sponsor info sheet.

Remember sponsors must be active practicing Catholics in good standing who are at least 16 years old and have already been Confirmed.  As the sponsor stands in the place of the godparent from Baptism, it cannot be the child's own parent.

Active Practicing - means goes to church
Good Standing - means there are no impediments caused by marriage or other issues. 

If your sponsor is not a registered member of St. Mary Magdalen Parish, you will need to provide your sponsor with the sponsor eligibility form for them to have their parish fill out and return to us.

New this year:  Parents and/or sponsors are being asked to write a letter to their child / candidate for use at the retreat.  Letter will be due 10 days prior to the retreat date.
