Have your child experience the Word of God through child-friendly language and song. Parents are welcome to join their children for this time of worship.
At this time we are not offering Children's Liturgy due to COVID.
After the opening prayer, children are invited to come forward, receive the Word of God as adapted for children, and go down to the hall, where volunteers read the word, a reflection is given, the psalm is sung, and children return to the Mass upstairs for the Communion rite. Parents often accompany their children during this time.
We have a team of parents who alternate Sunday's to deliver this children's ministry and a
COORDINATOR to oversee the scheduling of family volunteers who act as weekly leaders. We are also looking for
New Adult Leaders to add to our team. Our goal is to have sufficient leaders so each takes one Sunday only 3 or 4 times a year.
The roles available to volunteer for are:
Student Readers (varied length for many levels of reading or memorizing)
Musicians (students or adults)
Adult Speakers (share a reflection about the Gospel)
Adult Organizers (type readings & line up student readers)
