Have your child experience the Word of God through child-friendly language and song. Parents are welcome to join their children for this time of worship.
Children's Liturgy of the Word is Coming Back!
Our parish family is so blessed with many young families, and we are thrilled to restart our tradition of Children's Liturgy of the Word. During the 8:30am Mass, our children will be invited to come down to the Church Hall for singing, prayer, and hearing God's Word. They will rejoin their families in church before Holy Communion. Please have your children wear masks.
Dates we will gather in 2022 during the 8:30am Mass:
1/23 2/6 2/20 3/6 3/20 4/3 4/10 5/22 6/5
We will take a break for Easter and the 1st Communion weekends (April 23rd - May 14) and then breaking for summer.
If your child is interested in reading, please contact Meghan Cavanaugh.
Volunteer Opportunities
We have a team of parents who alternate Sunday's to deliver this children's ministry and a COORDINATOR to oversee the scheduling of family volunteers who act as weekly leaders. We are also looking for New Adult Leaders to add to our team. Our goal is to have sufficient leaders so each takes one Sunday only 3 or 4 times a year.
The roles available to volunteer for are:
Student Readers (varied length for many levels of reading or memorizing)
Musicians (students or adults)
Adult Speakers (share a reflection about the Gospel)
Adult Organizers (type readings & line up student readers)
